the build. a 40-person professional-services firm was taking ~3 business days to provision a new hire. we shipped an internal ops bot inside slack that routes and approves access requests. provisioning dropped to same-day and the ops team got ~10 hours/week back.
this is a build-in-public post. the numbers below are from the engagement's own before/after instrumentation, not a projection. the client is anonymized with consent.
the old process was not broken because people were slow. it was broken because a new hire needed accounts, tool access, and equipment, and each request lived in a different inbox. the ops lead chased approvals by hand. three business days was the honest average, start of day one to a working laptop.
